Agro Based Industries: The industries that are based upon the agricultural raw material are classified as Agro based industries. The agro -based industry includes industries related to textiles, sugar, paper and vegetable oil.
Types of Agro-based Industry-
1. Cotton textile Industry: Cotton textiles were produced with hand spinning and handloom weaving techniques.The industry by creating demands supports many other industries, such as, chemicals and dyes, mill stores, packaging materials and engineering works.
2. Woollen textile Industry : Wool is the textile fibre obtained from sheep and other animals, including goats, sheep and yak.
3. Silk textile Industry : Silk is a natural fibre produced from the cocoons of mulberry silkworm via a process called Sericulture. The fabric has a shimmering appearances .
4. Synthetic fibre Industry : Synthetic fibres are made by humans through chemical synthesis, as opposed to natural fibers that are directly derived from living organisms.
5. Jute textile industries: Jute is a long, soft, shiny fiber that can be spun into , strong threads. Jute is the name of the plant or fiber used to make bags, mats gunny cloth. Its also known as golden fibre.
